Start of Shipping of RICOH GR IV with Firmware [Ver. 1.02] Supporting Malaysian Certification

RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD sincerely appreciates your support and continued use of our products. We would like to inform you of the firmware version installed in the RICOH GR IV at the time of shipment, which went on sale in Japan on September 12.

In addition to the RICOH GR IV firmware Ver. 1.01 installed in the product at the time of its release, we have begun the shipment of the camera with Ver. 1.02, which includes the certification mark for use in Malaysia. Ver. 1.02 only adds a certification mark; all other camera performance, functions, etc., remain the same as in Ver. 1.01.
In some countries and regions, Ver. 1.01 and Ver. 1.02 may coexist for the time being, but please be assured that, as stated above, the camera performance and functions are the same and may be used safely.

Please note that if any RICOH GR IV purchased outside Malaysia is brought into Malaysia, the firmware version will need to be upgraded to Ver. 1.02 to meet the certification requirements. The release of firmware Ver. 1.02 is scheduled for mid-October.
